HOPE

A nerve wracking election has ended and the bigger task is at hand--Getting the country back on track.

I watched the results tonight alongside my family and friends and it was such a moving sight to see so many hopeful faces. From all walks of life, all ages, all races---I have never seen that kind of optimistic hope since JFK.

This was a night for the History books. To see such a coming together of our nation and grant such an overwhelming mandate for Barack Obama shows how far our country has slipped to the far right. It is time to Balance the tide.

My hope is for a UNITED country once again. A hopeful America of the early 1960's...The possibilities were there--but there was still a county embroiled in prejudice and racial unequality. JFK was the shining beacon, so was Dr. Martin Luther King. We were on the right path and then it changed.

Now, we embrace Change again. This time the possibilities are immense and endless. Once can once again, dare to dream and HOPE.
